'Following our success last year in
building a village school for Cambodian children and a sensory room for
special needs students at Revesby, in Sydney's south west, the next
community project on Bankstown Paceway's charitable fundraising radar is
a school library for the rural village of Cheasmonn in south east
Asia,' Bankstown Paceway director Andrew Ho has announced.
‘As the heart and soul of Australia’s equine industries, Bankstown
Paceway will once again join forces with Rotary International to help
build a school library in Cambodia’s Siem Reap province,’ Mr Ho told
Harnesslink.
‘Bankstown Paceway will partner with the Rotary Club of Revesby Wirrimbirra to host a second annual charity race night and fundraising dinner on Friday, May 31st, to raise much needed donations for a new library at Sopheak’s Friendship School in Cheasmonn Village – a free community school located in rural Cambodia,’ Mr Ho said.
‘The star studded gala event will feature all the excitement of live night racing and guests will be treated to a VIP dining experience in our luxurious corporate suite – overlooking both the winning post and parade ring – with a sumptuous three course feast, unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks, plus entertainment, fashions on the field, charity auction, raffles and games for all ages,’ Mr Ho added.
The Rotary Club of Revesby Wirrimbirra Charity Race Night and Gala Dinner in support of Sopheak’s Friendship School will be held on Friday, May 31st, 2013, at the heart of Australian harness racing, Sydney’s Bankstown Paceway, 178 Eldridge Road, Bankstown – with the first race set to start at 6.30 pm.
Tickets – which include a three course gourmet dinner including beer, wine and soft drinks – can be purchased for $80 per person by contacting Mr Chad Horton, International and Foundation Director, Revesby Wirrimbirra Rotary Club, direct on 0414 546 787 or via email at revesbywirrimbirrarotary1@hotmail.com
