People living in the village said that Thai soldiers are patrolling very close to their house, about 50 metres from their houses. A villager said: "the Thai soldiers are patrolling very close to our houses, about 50 metres away".
Villagers living in Choup Koki said that they are facing hunger because the Thai soldiers had closed the border and they cannot go to Thailand to make a living and now they are appealing for assistance from the Cambodian government and generous people.
Earlier in the week Thai soldiers had closed the gate of the Ta Moan temple and would not allow any Cambodians in to visit the temple as per the agreement with the Cambodian side. We've heard that the order to withdraw will come after the 29th, 30th (August)".
