- Cambodia Bayon Airlines is the name of the newest carrier to enter the Cambodian air transport scene. Scheduled domestic services between Phnom Penh (PNH) and Siem Reap (REP) began at the end of December using an MA60 turboprop aircraft. Flights currently operate thrice-weekly (Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays) on the 235-kilometre sector, which is already served by Cambodia Angkor Air with 39 weekly flights. The new airline is a joint venture with Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). The airline, which received its AOC on 23 December, plans to be operating 30 aircraft within five years, 20 MA60s and 10 A320s, to cover domestic routes and to connect Cambodia with ASEAN countries as well as China, Japan and South Korea.
