Thai Prime Minister Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha
PHNOM PENH (Xinhua) -- Cambodia and Thailand are scheduled to ink three deals during the official visit of Thai Prime Minister Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha to Cambodia next week, the Cambodian foreign ministry said in a press statement on Friday.
"At the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Thai Prime Minister Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha will pay an official visit to Cambodia on Oct. 30-31," the statement said, adding that during the visit, the two leaders will hold a bilateral meeting and witness the signing ceremony of three documents.
The documents will be focused on the bilateral cooperation in tourism, eliminating trafficking in persons and protecting victims, and a railway connection between the two neighboring countries, it said.
Gen. Prayuth was elected as the 29th Thai Prime Minister by the National Legislative Assembly in August, three months after his army seized power through a bloodless coup on May 22, toppling the civilian government led by deposed prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
