PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Prime Minister Hun Sen left Monday to attend the 23rd ASEAN summit as well as other related meetings in Brunei, said Srey Thamrong, a minister attached to Hun Sen.
The ministers and officials escorting Hun Sen included Foreign Minister Hor Namhong, Commerce Minister Sun Chanthol, Finance Minister Oun Porn Monirath, Education Minister Hang Chuonnarong and other government officials.
The summits held from October 9-10 will include the 23rd ASEAN Summit, 16th ASEAN-Japan Summit, 16th ASEAN-South Korea Summit, 16th ASEAN-China Summit, 1st ASEAN-US Summit, 16th ASEAN plus three Summit, 8th East-ASEAN Summit, 11th ASEAN-India Summit and 5th ASEAN-UN Summit.
Srey Thamrong said that apart from attend the meetings in Brunei's capital of Bandar Seri Begawan, Hun Sen will also attend bilateral meetings with Australian Prime Minister, Tony Abbott, UN Secretary General Ban, Ki-moon and New Zealand Prime Minister, John Key.
He added that Hun Sen will return to Cambodia on October 10th.
