Dear Your Excellency;
Sir, as a Cambodian American I solute and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continuing involvement with the current Cambodian issue in Cambodia. As you are aware Sir, Cambodian have been endured through such dark history since World War II until the present time. The Khmer Rough Era between 1975 to 1979 causing almost 2 millions lives was just a glimpse of reality what the world witness about the Cambodian people. As of today, the world may see Cambodia as an independent country with one step closer to what we called a “true Democracy”. Contrary, Cambodian and its people still continue living in same darkness. No different from Khmer Rough Era, Cambodian daily are still living in fear because of intimidation, oppression as well as execution for those that have courage to speak out against the government. The CPP government leading by Prime Minister Hun Sen was just a name changing from the Khmer Rough regime. Matter of fact, Prime Minister Hun was among the very same people during Khmer Rough Era who was responsible of the death of 2 millions Cambodian lives. Mr. Hun Sen definitely has a red blood on his hand.
Sir, the world have turned their blind eyes on Cambodian too many times now and this is their last draw. Another five years leading by this dictator will be a death sentence to the Cambodian people. Their existence is solely depend on compassion from a world leaders like yourself. As you can see, this dictator have been in power for almost 30 years and he is continuing to con his way rigging an election process so he can holding on to power. For the 2013 Cambodian National Election, the Cambodian people have spoken, but they are no match against such bully with machine guns and tanks.
With this letter, I am begging you in the name of humanity to please help pass H. Resolution 310 to punish this world dictator so he won't continue to get a free handout from a US tax payer like myself despite his track records of extensive human right violation. I sincerely thank you sir for taking your time reading my letter.
