Cambodia signs Japan’s 90mln loan for NR five restoration

PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Cambodia signed Japan’s $90 million loan Tuesday to restore 47 kilometers of National Road five between Battambang and Serey Sophorn city.

The signing ceremony was presided over by Prime Minister, Hun Sen and made between Foreign Minister, Hor Namhong and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia, Kumamaru Yuji.

Kumamaru Yuji said, National Road five is a part of Robeang city's economic entrance, and a major road for transportation locally, internationally, throughout the greater Mekong sub-region and in ASEAN.

He said, the project will help promote economic development in Cambodia.
