PHNOM PENH, 25 September 2012 (Cambodia Herald) - Prime Minister Hun Sen said Tuesday that
Japanese retail giant Aeon Co Ltd planned to invest $200 million on a
supermarket in Phnom Penh with construction starting late this year.
Speaking at a graduation ceremony, he said the four-storey supermarket near the Russian Embassy would hire between 2,000 and 3,000 workers.
Hun Sen said he recently met with the chairman of Aeon, the biggest retailer in Japan with annual sales of around $65 billion.
