For those who follow Cambodian politics, the cartoons of Sacrava will be
familiar for their no-holds barred savaging of politicians and policies
in a country where satirical cartoons are rare.
Cambodia's country's are often depicted as monkeys, dogs or hyenas and
China, Vietnam, ASEAN are regular targets. The man behind the drawings
is Bun Heang Ung.
Bun Heang Ung has donated 88 original drawings documenting his account
of life under the brutal Khmer Rouge regime to the Australian National
University.
The artworks will join the Canberra university's rare books and
manuscripts special collection in the Menzies Asia-Pacific Library.
