DAP News reporter based at the frontline as well as China's Xinhua News and Agence France Presse reported that Cambodian and Thai troops had clashed in the early hour of today, Friday the 22nd of April near Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples (pictured) in Oddar Meanchey province.
DAP news reported that the clash occurred when a group of Thai soldiers attempted to move in to occupy Point 359 west of Ta Moan Thom temple at 6:05 a.m this morning. According to DAP News reporter, the clashes occurred at three locations in Thmor Daun village, Ta Krabey and Ta Moan Thom temples.
The reporter reported that the fighting was very intensified and involved the use of DK rocket launchers, when Thai troops have used DK-75, DK-82 and DK-105 rocket launchers against Cambodian troops. The reporter reported that at 7:30 a.m, the fighting had subsided a little bit, but still going on sporadically.
The report said that the military situation at Preah Vihear temple still remain calm, but both Cambodian and Thai troops were ordered on high alert and to take up positions. Cambodian frontline troops based at Preah Vihear reported that at 7:45 a.m, five Thai troops deployed in the Cambodian-controlled Sombok Khmum area has fled back into Thai territory.
Up to 8 a.m this morning, the clash had subsided and the Cambodian side had reported no casualty.
-Thai troops based near Ta Moan Thom temple had stopped shelling Cambodian troops based at Ta Moan Thom temple at 8:25 a.m, but Thai troops near Ta Krabey temple are still bombing Cambodian troops.
-Reporter said that Thai troops based inside Thai territory had fired 100 rockets in supports of their frontline comrades based at Choup Koki and also fired rockets at Ta Moan Thom temple.
-At 8:25 a.m, Cambodian troops are reported to be still in control of their positions and are fighting back very strong.
-At 8:50 a.m the clash started again at Ta Moan Thom temple after Thai troops stopped bombing Cambodian troops at 8:02 a.m.
-Reuters quoted Oddar Meanchey provincial governor, Mr. Pech Sokhin, as saying that the clash was sparked by Thai troops launching an attack on Cambodian troops first.
-In 4 hours and 10 minutes of fighting, one Thai soldier was killed and 6 seriously wounded and 3 were slightly wounded. However, Cambodian soldiers said that 5 Thai soldiers were killed during fighting in front of Ta Krabey temple. On the Cambodian side, 2 soldiers were slightly wounded. However, a Cambodian commander said that 3 Cambodian soldiers were killed during fighting in front of Ta Krabey temple and 1 wounded during fighting at Ta Moan Thom temple.

It no on we should employ all the big gun to smash their military post too we not just defend we have to offend to teach the enemy that they bark the wrong threes .
We, Thais, love temples and we cannot have Khmer temples without taking their land. If Knmer people want to live peacefully, Cambodia should be part of Thailand. Together we can go and claim Khmer land in Vietnam.
