A clash between Thai and Cambodian soldiers erupted on Friday morning along the Thai-Cambodian border in Phanom Dongrak district of Surin provinces. At least four Thai soldiers were wounded, reports said.
The reports said noises of gunfire were heard starting about 6am along the border between Ta Kwai (Ta Krabey) and Ta Muen temple ruins.
Villagers of Thai Santisuk village in tambon Bak Dai of Phanom Dongrak district had begun to evacuate to Ta Luak village for safety after artillery rounds landed on the village.
At least four Thai soldiers were wounded in the clash.
What triggered the clash was not reported.
