PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Three jailed female land activists were seriously wounded when they hit their heads against prison wall, following a dispute with prison guards, a land right activist Chan Puthisak said Friday.
He said Boeung Kok land right activists, Tep Vanny, Bo Chorvy and Kong Chenda, banged their heads against the wall after the prison guards didn't allow them to go outside the prison cells.
After the accident, they were sent to Khmer-Russian Friendship hospital, he said, adding that Kong Chenda suffered serious cut on her head.
Tep Vanny's husband Ou Kong said that the prison guards didn't let the Boueng Kok women go outside after they accused them of causing disorder in the prison.
