Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon on Monday morning departed for Cambodia from Don Mueang military airport to Cambodia for a one-day visit, an informed source said.
He was accompanied by an entourage of about 15 members including army chief Gen Udomdej Sitabutr, Deputy Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai and defence permanent secretary Gen Sirichai Dithakul.
The source said the trip was made in secret.  No reporters were allowed to enter Don Mueang military airport for interviews - not even those from army-run Channel 5.
It was reported the delegation would lunch with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.  They were expected to talk about several issues including Preah Vihear temple, energy and Thai red-shirts who fled the country to avoid the lese majeste dragnet, amid reports that former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra recently visited Myanmar.

Gen Prawit led a team of Thai top brass to visit Cambodia on Dec 24-25 to meet Hun Sen and Gen Tea Banh, the Cambodian prime minister and defence minister, shortly after Hun Sen's visit to Thailand to attend the 4th Joint Committee Meeting for the Greater Mekong Subregion Cross-Border Transport Agreement on Nov 21-22.

I hope PM Hun Sen tells those Siam " Hey leave Preah Vihear areas or I will ask ICJ court to remove you guys or ladys " Lol. Hun Sen needed to tell them all the excuses of solving your internal problems first are all BULLSHIT DELAY TACTICS. Siam didnt needed their parliamentries vote to invade Cambodia territories in 2008 but WHY do they needed now. Lol.

I think Siam just never plan on leaving Preah Vihear. Cambodia needed to strength our armed forces in Siam border areas to defend Siam invasion NOW before its too LATE. Our forces in those areas needed medium rang SAM systems v very badly. We had short rang SAM Manpads but we really needed medium rang SAM against Siam F-16A, F-5, J-39 Gripen. Khmer also needed long rang 155MM howitzers from China. We only had 130MM canons its only about 30 km rang unlike Siam 155MM French howitzers 45 Km rang. You can see the disadvantages of our forces. They can reach us but we cant reach them. Our BM-21 MLRS are only 40 km but too expensive to use in mass. Artillery shells are much more cost effective for our poor country. Just my opinions.
