PHNOM PENH, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Laos President Choummaly Sayasone will pay a state visit to Cambodia on Feb. 26 and 27 to further promote bilateral ties and cooperation, a news statement from the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on said on Friday.
The visit comes at the invitation of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, the statement said.
During his stay in Cambodia, Choummaly will meet separately with President of the National Assembly Heng Samrin, Prime Minister Hun Sen, and first Vice-President of the Senate Say Chhum.
Cambodia and Laos have enjoyed good diplomatic relations and cooperation for decades. However, bilateral trade and investment volumes are still relatively small.
