PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Around 60 people protested on Monday in front of Koh Kong Provincial Court, asking it to drop charge against their representative who has been sued by a tycoon.
The protesters represented 135 families in Prek Ksach commune of Kiri Sakor district, who have land dispute with the SEZ Company owned by tycoon Ly Yong Phat.
The Koh Kong Provincial Court summoned the protesters’ representative to appear in the court after he has been sued by the SEZ Company for theft.
Khmerization: In Cambodia, the thief walks free while the victims goes to jail.
