PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- By the first quarter of 2014 Cambodia received 1,267,922 foreign tourists, an 8% increase comparing to the same period of the previous year, according to the recent report of the Ministry of Tourism.
The above report also showed, among the foreign visitors to Cambodia from January to March 2014, the top majority are from Viet Nam, then Korea, China, Laos, Japan, America, Russia, Thailand, France, England and other countries.
The Ministry of Tourism estimated in 2015 Cambodia would receive 4.8 million tourists. In 2018 the number would increase to 6.1 million and would continue to rise to 7 million in 2020 with an income of US$ 5,000 million and an increase of 800,000 new jobs.
In 2013 Cambodia received 4,210,165 foreign tourists, a 17.5% increase comparing to 2012, with an income of US$ 2,500 million.
