PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Around 100 residents from property development site Boeung Kok rallied Monday in front of World Bank office in Phnom Penh, asking it to urge the Royal Government of Cambodia to accelerate land dispute resolution in their community.
In a statement, the land activists criticized the World Bank, saying that it seemed to ignore and take no action to urge the government to help solve land dispute in Boeung Kok community.
They also expressed disappointment when learning that the World Bank restarted its cooperation with the government.
