The Cambodian government has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Saudi Arabia to send Cambodian women to work as maids in Saudi Arabia.

Images of a young female OFW with severe burns to her back after allegedly having boiling water poured on her by her employer has shocked the Filipino community in the Kingdom.
Her case was brought to the attention of both the Philippine Embassy and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) with a request to report the incident to police authorities and the Saudi Foreign Ministry.
One of her relatives, who introduced himself as “Talib,” told Arab News that the victim arrived in Riyadh only two months ago to work as a domestic helper, but apparently faced communication problems with her employer since she can neither understand Arabic nor English.
He said her employer began beating her and eventually attacked her with boiling water.
Talib said the victim was not immediately brought to a clinic by her employer. It was at the clinic where she managed to contact her relatives.
A message from the victim’s cousin in Riyadh provided details into the incident in Tagalog on Facebook.
“This is my cousin, who works as domestic helper in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Her female Saudi employer poured boiling water on her. She has only been in Riyadh for two months. She was beaten up within five days of her arrival by her male employer and was sometimes deprived of food.”
“She was only taken to the hospital six hours after boiling water was poured on her. She was then taken home to continue working despite her extensive injuries,” she said.
The same images were posted on social media network on Saturday.
Within a few minutes, the news had gone viral on social media sites with sympathetic comments.
“Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah would not allow this to happen in his country,” said an OFW based in the US.
She is now under the embassy’s custody, according to officials.
“We will request immediate police and medical intervention,” said an embassy official.

គ្រានៅមន្ទីរពេទ្យ, នាងបានឲ្យលេខទូរស័ព្ទបងប្អូនជីដូនមួយរបស់នាង ទៅបុគ្គលិកពេទ្យ និងទទួចឲ្យពួកគេជួយនាងផង ។ ឥឡូវនេះ នាងកំពុងទទួលការថែទាំពីស្ថានទូតហ្វីលីពីន ។
ដោយសារតែពុំអាចទប់កំហឹងបាន បងប្អូនជីដូនមួយរបស់នាង ក៏បានចែករំលែករូបភាពរបស់ ‘Fatma’ (ឈ្មោះមិនពិតរបស់នាង) នៅលើបណ្តាញសង្គម Facebook តែម្តង ។ ស្ត្រីបញ្ចេញកំហឹងរូបនោះ ក៏បានសរសេរអះអាងថា Fatma ត្រូវបានវាយដុំច្រំធាក់ដោយថៅកែរបស់នាង និងបង្អត់អហារ ទៀតផង ។
ដោយសារតែពុំអាចទប់កំហឹងបាន បងប្អូនជីដូនមួយរបស់នាង ក៏បានចែករំលែករូបភាពរបស់ ‘Fatma’ (ឈ្មោះមិនពិតរបស់នាង) នៅលើបណ្តាញសង្គម Facebook តែម្តង ។ ស្ត្រីបញ្ចេញកំហឹងរូបនោះ ក៏បានសរសេរអះអាងថា Fatma ត្រូវបានវាយដុំច្រំធាក់ដោយថៅកែរបស់នាង និងបង្អត់អហារ ទៀតផង ។
ស្ត្រីជីដូនមួយនោះ នៅបានសរសេរឲ្យដឹងទៀតថាៈ “ថៅកែស្រីជនជាតិអារ៉ាប៊ីសាអូឌីតរបស់នាង បានស្រោចទឹកក្តៅលើនាង ។ នាងទើបតែមកធ្វើការនៅក្នុងទីក្រុង Riyadh រយៈពេល ២ ខែ ប៉ុណ្ណោះ ” ។ “នាងត្រូវបានវាយដុំក្នុងរយៈពេល ៥ ថ្ងៃ នៅពេលថៅកែប្រុសរបស់នាងមកដល់ និងជូនកាលបង្អត់អាហារ” ។
“នាងត្រូវបានបញ្ជូនទៅព្យាបាលរបួសនៅឯមន្ទីរពេទ្យ ៦ ម៉ោង ក្រោយពីរងការចាក់ស្រោចទឹកក្តៅ” ។
“បន្ទាប់មក នាងត្រូវបាននាំយកទៅផ្ទះវិញ ដើម្បីបន្តធ្វើការ ថ្វីបើមុខរបួសរបស់នាងស្ថិតក្នុងសភាពធ្ងន់ធ្ងរយ៉ាងក៏ដោយ” ។
បច្ចុប្បន្ន នាយកដ្ឋានសុខុមាលភាពសង្គម និងកាអភិវឌ្ឍន៍ នៃប្រទេសនេះ បានកំពុងផ្តល់ការថែទាំថ្នាំសង្កូវ និងទីកន្លែងស្នាក់នៅ ។
ប៉ុន្តែ ចំពោះជនល្មើសជាថៅកែចិត្តខ្មៅនេះ គេពុំទាន់ដឹងថា សមត្ថកិច្ចនៅប្រទេសនេះនឹងចាត់វិធានការផ្លូវច្បាប់យ៉ាងណានោះទេ ៕

Please spread the words about this to all Khmers young ladies who wants to work as maid at foreign's soil,Saudi Arabia threat worm as slave worse than livestocks or domestic pets (cats& dogs) these ragged head people too greedy filthy rich but has less consciences less than a sentient beings.
Please Do not send Khmers women to Saudi Arabia or any Muslims nations, they are vicious (Muslims) can't be trusted,they loved to abused women,especially you're not one of them,they consider that anyone is outside their race as "Infidels" please tell all Khmers folks not to be their maid.

It is up to the Cambodian law makers and business people. In cambodia, no one seems to care much about the well beings of the people but only prioritize how much money they can get per worker they shipped out. Countless Cambodian workers got abused and sold by Cambodia legitimate working abroad companies to Thailand and Malaysia. No one cares! Remove hun sen, maybe things will be better for Cambodian!
Cambodian women will face this king od torture when they work as maids in Saudi Arabia or other Muslim countries. I oppose sending Cambodian women to work as maids in Muslim countries, but I send them or men working in factories or construction sites, as not as maids.
