PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- A senior member of the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party has accused China of exploiting and cheating Cambodians, according to the latest issue of Southeast Asia Globe.
"We appreciate America a lot," Son Chhay reportedly told the monthly magazine. "The country that has assisted Cambodia in moving forward with democracy is the US.
"In contrast, the Chinese are quite different. We have never had agood , beneficial relationship with China.
'THEY HAVE CUT DOWN ALL OF OUR TREES'
"China doesn’t support our economic achievements. They are just exploiting us. They are interested in our resources – look at our forests, they have cut down all of our trees – and they have cheated us on all of these loans.
"They are willing to supply loans for roads, bridges and hydro dams, but they must go through Chinese companies, who multiply the real cost so they can make huge profits."
Son Chhay reportedly added that Cambodia "cannot afford to have China exploiting us and, at the same time, taking away our independence and our economic future."

MR SUN CHAY is correct and perfect statement, CHINA helped Khmer Rough to kill a lot of innocent Cambodian, again China helped HUN SEN because CHINA needs a lot of Cambodian resources, Burma knew if they continue to have a good relation with China they are going to lost, so they changed their plan to western countries now
any country has applied with communist style or dictatorship leader their own people will be poor and died consequently for example, north korea, cuba, laos, vietnam and so on, most rich countries have applied real democracy will be rich such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia and so on
I totally agree with Son Chhay. China is a rogue state. What's more is that its human right records are very bad. China produces low qualitity products as if the Chineses never care about the quality of any thing they do.
China can't come and cut down your trees without Cpp Hun sen allowed them too...Please blamed Cpp.Khmer old saying state that;Chhkae Srok oy dai,chhkae prey chol Srok...You see Chen and YUON cut our trees because Cpp Hun shit wants them too! In future they might take all over the seat in parliamentary government Khmer and they are willingly replace their kids into every important Khmer's ministry such as in the ministry defend, ministry interior, econmics, information, finance, justice, foreign affair, education and culture and more...
How about the kon Khmer that yiek cong has been abducted them since long time ago to Han noi? during the war time before and after 1970 where are they now?

I still remember ah CHEN PEKING, in 1976, 77 & 78; I was very skinny with pot belly. My weight was about 60 lbs. for a late teen boy. Soon we just finished collecting the crops during the Khmer rouge regime; ah CHEN PEKING brought hundreds of trucks and robbed us in the day light. They have no sympathy, no feeling toward Cambodian people. They grabbed food from our mouth while Cambodian in famine and left us starving to death. I lost my brother, cousins, aunts, uncles, friend neighbors . . . from starvation. Ah CHEN, I’m not proud of you even you are the #2 power country in the world since you are so mean, selfish and care about no body. Anybody who deals with you always suffers from either deaths or starvation. You are not fit as a big brother but you are a bully! When Cambodian is in political death lock, you gave the bad side the guns and bullets. You really look down on the lives of innocent Cambodian people. Please leave us alone.
