PHNOM PENH, 20 December 2012 (The Cambodia Herald) - The American Embassy announced a
ceremony Friday for 30 Cambodian medics who completed a US Pacific
Command course on providing care to landmine victims.
A statement said the ceremony, to be held at the headquarters of the Cambodian Mine Action Center, would be presided over by Deputy Chief of Mission Jeff Daigle and CMAC Director General Heng Ratana.
"During the course, Cambodian medical professionals gained valuable skills in providing first response medical care to victims of landmines and other unexploded ordnances," the statement said.
"This course contributes to US efforts in helping Cambodians establish effective national mine action and reduce casualties from unexploded ordnances."
