PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) -Thai soldiers have shot dead a Cambodian man for illegal logging in Thailand's Sisaket province, the victim’s father said Saturday.
“Chea Kim Long was killed yesterday when he went into Sisaket province, Thailand, to make a living from logging,” said father Chea Touch, adding that he was the only one among seven children who could help support his family.
The victim's body has not yet been returned to Cambodia.
Border official Touch Ra said he had not yet been informed about the death.
