(BangkokPost.com) - Army chief Anupong Paochinda said he needs to wait for an order from the government in order to lower troops stationing along the Thai-Cambodian border.
Gen Anupong, however, said he welcomed Monday's talk between foreign ministers of both Thailand and Cambodia, who agreed to withdraw forces from disputed area to end the border row.
"The resolution from the meeting between Cambodia and Thailand will help relieve tension and improve the situation," he said.
