Khmerization unblocked in Cambodia

A reader in Cambodia has reported that Khmerization blog has been unblocked in Cambodia. This means that Khmerization blog will be accessible from Cambodia. Khmerization has just received an email from a reporter working for the Cambodia Daily the following message:

Hi, We recently became aware that Khmerization.blogspot.com is no longer being blocked by ISPs. Have you noticed this? How long has it been unblocked? We've written in the past that ISPs were ordered to block the site, but it appears that has changed. Also, are you based in Cambodia or abroad? Are you still actively running the site? Best,

And here is my reply to that reporter:

Dear ......,

I was aware that Khmerization blog was blocked by the major ISPs such as Ezecom, Metfone and so on, but was still accessible through small ISPs. I didn't notice that Khmerization blog was unblocked. I knew it was blocked before because my readers inside Cambodia informed me, however this time no one has informed me that it's been unblocked. I'm based abroad and still actively running the blog, but due to time constraint I am unable to write my own opinions about the political developments in Cambodia like before. Thank you for informing me, but do you think Khmerization can be accessed through all ISPs or just some?

In 2011, the Cambodian government has ordered many ISPs to block anti-government sites such as Ki-Media and Khmerization. Many readers in Cambodia reported that Khmerization was blocked in 2011. We are not sure if Khmerization has been unblocked by all ISPs or just by some ISPs. Can our readers in Cambodia confirm if Khmerization blog has been unblocked by all the ISPs? Many thanks.

That reporter of yours likes to end his lines similar to that of Phay Siphom with the word “Best”.

Ok, let me help the opposition folks out a bit and also flaunt my technical superiority.

Cambodian used the packet sniffer to look for packets going to khmerization.blogspot.com or other site, to drop the packets. It's done at any router, and most often at the ISP providers.

If you folks use HTTPS, your packet is encripted. Cambodian government cannot sniff out khmerization.blogspot.com. Cambodian cannot block the destination ISP either because there are other blogs served by Google.

If you don't want to be blogged, then find a blog service which allows HTTPS connection.

You folks are using the unencripted blog service from Google, the www.blogger.com. Thus, the reader cannot use the HTTPS.

There is a high chance that reporter was using a new ISP which did not have the order to block Khmerization blog site yet, or the person could have mispelled the term Khmerization with an "s", like this "Khmerisation".

If Khmerization is still being blocked in Cambodia, most other ISP providers will still blocked. I don't see why suddenly the Cambodian government will unblock Khmerization and not other websites unless... they like reading what I have been writing.

I might appear to be pro Mr. Hun Sen but really I am only pro the poors. Please make a note. So far, Mr. Hun Sen's policy seems to be pro the poors.

So, if Cambodian government blocked this site, you complained censorship.

If the Cambodian government unblocked this site, you accused this site being approved by the government.

This is why the government often has to use the batons to talk to you. I bet when the government stops using the batons, you will complain as well. lol...

DrugookZ is a thug or a parasite that benefit from the communist Hanoi who uses him as a "USEFUL IDOIT" propagandist to distorted the truth just like all the gooks had done to Khmer for century,it's time for all Khmers united together and fight against parasite like him or his Hanoi's clans.

I will make it clear again. I love the poors and want to see the poor Cambodians to have more jobs.

As a child, there was time I was severely punished over a dispute of my stolen food worth no more than 10 cents. I bled that day. Other time, I made a mistake, and took home two kilo less noodles than I was supposed to. I got locked out of the house till I begged and cried at the noodle shop to give me the missing noodles.

There was time, I ate some wild fruit I found with some salty sauce and plain rice. Other time, my family made the fat oil by frying the pig fat, I would eat the left over fat skin with only rice. I was always a skinning, tall and frail light-skinned kid facing fist fight threat from much bigger, stronger stubby dark-skin kids. Amazingly, I survived and grew up just fine. It's superior genetic.

That said, I knew how people turn desperate and nasty when they were poor. Do not cause troubles and disrupt Mr. Hun Sen's effort to bring stability in Cambodia for jobs. You folks cannot fight him in the court, in the International support, you went straight the poors and disrupt their chances to get jobs. You are just plain evil.

Last year, Cambodian garment export grew 32% in the first half.
http://www.ibtimes.com/cambodias-garment-industry-exported-156-billion-first-half-year-32-year-year-growth-1338167

Then election came in July 2013, the opposition folks caused such a huge fight, by now 2014, Cambodian garment export dropped 5%.

A growth of 31% in 2014 would mean another 200,000 more garment jobs. A drop of 5% means some 30,000 garment workers lost jobs.

I am very angry at the evil opposition. I would be dance in joy if Mr. Hun Sen punishes severely those who cause such massive loss to Cambodia's job.
