PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- National Assembly Chairman Heng Samrin has urged the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) to negotiate with the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), and join the government's parliamentary sessions.

The appeal was made after the National Assembly kicked off its session on Thursday to elect the members of the National Assembly’s nine commissions.

The CNRP's leaders said recently that their lawmakers will not attend any National Assembly session if their demand for a probe into the election irregularities are not met.

"We haven’t yet made any decisions concerning the seats of the Cambodia National Rescue Party," Samrin said after the session.

"They boycott the parliamentary sessions and it's within their rights," he said, adding that we will find a way to persuade them to join the session, however if they still boycott, we will think about it at a later time.

He said if the 55 lawmakers of the Cambodia National Rescue Party join the session in National Assembly, there will be changes to the parliament's leaders as well as the members of the nine commissions.

Deputy Prime Minister, Sar Kheng said Wednesday that the opposition party leader now doesn't want  to be chairman, but wanted equal commission posts within the National Assembly.

However, he said that the Cambodian People’s Party doesn't agree with Sam Rainsy’s request for equal posts within the National Assembly because a stalemate may occur.

"We still maintain our position by giving the National Assembly’s first vice-chairman seat, four committee chairman seats and five seats within the vice-chairman committee to the Cambodia National Rescue Party,” Sar Kheng said.

Sam Rainsy recently left the country to seek foreign support and urged foreign countries not to recognize what he believes to be an ‘illegitimate government’ of Prime Minister Hun Sen.

Dumb foe like Heng Samre'r can hold higher position despite his poor credential, poor educational back ground thatwise the country was slave to yieknam. These Cpp thugs were dumb as a cow on the field that was why yuons and chens were able to steal their nation natural's resources above ground, below ground infront of their eyes they didn't see it.

These thugs didn't have any critical thinking nor brain in their skull perhaps blinded by wealth and powers that yuons and chens given to them from the result of stealing from their nation's natural resources as describes above.Get rid of these thugs save our mother land and our natural resources.

They destroy the country with their hungry for power, not the love of the country.
