PHNOM PENH, 5th september 2013
(The Cambodia Herald) -- The U.S. Embassy will host a by
invitation-only event on Monday, September 9, at 11:00 a.m. celebrating
their achievement in gaining over 100,000 Facebook fans.
Over the
past 16 months, the number of fans, the users who have "liked" the
page, have increased from below 30,000 to more than 100,000, according
to a U.S. Embassy press release on Thursday.
The event is to thank the people of Cambodia,
including Facebook fans and bloggers, for their continued interest in
the U.S. Embassy's programs in Cambodia, the release said.
During the event held inside the Embassy, U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia William E. Todd will give a small speech.
The U.S. Embassy’s Facebook page is a direct link to the U.S. Embassy in receiving up-to-date information about events, programs, and opportunities , along with the ability for Cambodians to post their comments and questions about certain things that may interest them.
