Cambodian charity The Foundation for Developing Cambodian Communities
has launched a television commercial designed to pull at the heart
strings of Australians.
The advertisement, created by Crank Films, is called ‘Hopscotch’ and
calls on Aussies to support Cambodian orphans, particularly at risk
young girls.
The commercial contrasts two girls playing Hopscotch, one in a safe Australian environment and the other in a desolate camp.
The 60-second spot has launched online and according to the FDCC will
be shown on television later in the year. FDCC board member Marie
O’Sullivan said: “Crank have done us an enormous service and we are
optimistic this will reach a wider audience wanting to make a positive
contribution”.
The FDCC works with local Cambodian communities to provide shelter, education and safety for orphaned young girls.
