KR Victims Group Moves to Oust President Over Partisanship
A local advocacy group for Khmer Rouge regime survivors is seeking to
replace its president, Chum Mey, for politicizing the organization’s
work by leading a large demonstration in Phnom Penh on Sunday against opposition leader Kem Sokha, according to a statement released by the group.
Mr. Mey called for the rally to demand that Mr. Sokha, acting
president of the Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP), apologize for
allegedly claiming that Vietnam fabricated evidence that the Khmer Rouge
imprisoned and tortured thousands of people at Tuol Sleng prison.

I just keep pondering why Chun Mey would stage a protest for a comment that has not been vetted. With the continuing blockade by the Hun Sen and his cronies against the Khmer Rouge tribunal. There should be more outrage over that than a comment.
My only logically answer to why he would choose this direction against all the survivors of Khmer Rouge. Either by force, (doubtful), money, power. Money and power can go a long way for Chun Mey and his families. Secured positions in the CPP lair.
