BANGKOK, 28 April 2013 (NNT) – Thailand’s Minister of Commerce is
satisfied with the results of the 4th meeting of Thailand-Cambodia joint
trade committee (JTC) which targets an increase in trade volume by 30 %
annually.
Commerce Minister Boonsong Teriyapirom disclosed that the 4th Thai-Cambodian JTC meeting held in Cambodia yielded satisfactory results for both sides.
For 2012-2015, the previous JTC meeting agreed to set the target to increase the Thai-Cambodian trade volume by 30 % annually while the bilateral trade in 2012 grew by 40.5 %, exceeding the target. Therefore the target is set to remain at 30 %.
Both nations affirmed to maintain cooperation in several aspects with aims to promote trade particularly for agricultural products, raise average prices of rice, strengthen global food security, facilitate bilateral trade and investment, and exchange knowledge and technology.
