PHNOM PENH, 12 March 2013 (The Cambodia Herald) -- Australia donated $12 mln in order
to amend the justice sector as well as reinforce commune safety
policies, according to the National Police Website.
The donation was signed Monday by Ms. Penny Richards, Australian Ambassador to Cambodia along with Interior Minister, Sar Kheng.
Ms. Richards has high expectations that the donation will help further the Cambodian government's efforts in trying to build up their own resources in order to gain confidence among the people within justice sector.
At least 12 provinces will benefit from the generosity.
Australia had donated $56.5 mln to Cambodia for the justice sector since 1997.
