PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - Two thieves died and
two jewelry vendors were injured Monday in a botched robbery in Choum
Chao commune in Por Senchey district, police said.
Phnom Penh Police Commissioner Touch Narong said police found four bombs and a K-54 pistol on the thieves, whose bodies were sent to Russey Sanh Temple.
Jewelry vendor Pheng Sothey and his niece Mao Khouch were shot and sent to Kossamak and Calmette hospitals.
Touch Narong appealed to gold sellers and money changers to cooperate with police to eliminate robberies.
