The Cambodia Daily reported in today’s edition that more than 180 families living next to the Phnom Penh International Airport are told to move out of their homes to make way for a new road for US President Obama’s visit to Cambodia in November. The road is to provide safety for the US president. “We were told that Phnom Penh plans to extend the airport to provide a safety road for Obama,” The Cambodia Daily quoted Chray Nin, the representative of the 182 families facing the alleged Obama-viction, as saying.

The families are now complaining this case to the Phnom Penh city hall to demand for compensation for the eviction which is also confirmed by Var Sarang, the deputy chief of Chom Chao commune.

Sean McIntosh, the US embassy spokesman, did not comment on the planned eviction. However, he noted that Obama’s attendance in Phnom Penh was not yet confirmed.

In July, the residents of Thmat Kaul village received notices of eviction once already, but they were able to stave off their evictions by complaining to the city hall. Subsequently, the city hall reduced the expansion plan of the airport from 30,000 square meters to 15,000 square meters and at least 80 families were able to save their homes.

This dirty government use image of the US to clear their wound ( land eviction) by trying to connect the US to the problem so that they can reduce high critics and condemnation by International communities and the civilians.

Agree. This is an attempt to tarnish the image of the US and President Obama. It is also a pretext to evict the people permanently and when Obama returned to US, these families will not be allowed back to their lands and homes. America or US embassy should make it clear that they opposed such a move because when the Chinese president, who is the second most powerful man in the world after the US president, visit Cambodia, there was no eviction. So why this time? To tarnish the image of the US and President Obama for sure.

There is no doubt that is because the Cpp's puppet obeyed to their master mind/ Hanoi purposely is destroyed and intricate toward Khmer image and reputation as well so that the reason why they really don't care too much about the Khmer nation .
i.e.; Why Cpp's government needs to make such deal with The Theran/Iran?
I Think everyone of Khmer patriot Knew how is the movement acting of iran's government being acted in around the world today, perhaps, later on they will ask the Cpp to have joined with Sirya also ?

As a result the Cpp's mater mind they don't the Khmer nation ease going to make a good ally and a living peace with the western at all.
