PHNOM PENH, 1 May 2012 (Cambodia Herald) – Cambodia will start building a new $85
million port facility in Sihanoukville later this year to promote trade
and investment, Public Works Minister Tram Iv Tek said Tuesday.
The minister said the port would comprise a 260-meter wharf with a depth of 13.5 meters and a second wharf of 200 meters, with a depth of 7.5 meters for the oil drilling industry.
"Work will begin in late 2012 and is scheduled to finish in mid 2015," Tram Iv Tek said.
