'The heart and soul of Sydney harness racing, Bankstown Paceway, will join forces with Rotary International to help build a local village school in Cambodia's Siem Reap Province,' Bankstown Paceway Director Andrew Ho announced this evening on Harnesslink.
‘As part of the Rotary Australia World Community Service international Serenity project, Bankstown Paceway will partner with the Rotary Club of Revesby Wirrimbirra to host a charity race night and fundraising dinner on Friday, May 18th, to raise much needed donations for Sopheak's Friendship School, Cheasmonn Village – a free community school located in rural Siem Reap in Cambodia,’ he told Harnesslink.
‘In addition to an action packed race card – featuring the finals of the Schweppes Sydney Cup Carnival and the Ned and Jean Feeheley Memorial, plus the Alabar Breeders Heats – attendees with be treated to a three course feast, including wine, beer and soft drinks, plus on course entertainment, auctions, raffles and games for all ages,’ Mr Ho added.
The Rotary Club of Revesby Wirrimbirra Charity Race Night and Gala Dinner in support of Sopheak's Friendship School will be held at Bankstown Paceway on Friday, May 18th – with the first race at 6.30 pm.
Tickets – which include a three course gourmet dinner including beer, wine and soft drinks – can be purchased for $80 per person by contacting Mr Chad Horton, International and Foundation Director, Revesby Wirrimbirra Rotary Club, direct on 0414 546 787 or via email at revesbywirrimbirrarotary@hotmail.com
