I am not a politician. I am like any other Cambodian people, we like peace. We don’t want to make any war against anybody, especially our neighbors. That was our own mistake that have lost a lot of lands. This is the history. We need to accept what happened and learned from it.
After years of war, Cambodia found its stability, both on politics and economy.
Anybody will ask the same question, why Cambodia want to make war with Thailand? Even before this, who started to send troops to border and made up everything?
We need to come out of the box. We need to isolate ourselves from the Thais media. Don’t let them fool you around. Thailand has power in the media and weapons. They smiled and talked anything they want. People will listen to them. They are good in acting. Hollywood should make a film about them.
Cambodian government position is remain the same: we will protect our territory and don’t let anyone invade our country. This is a very clear statement made by our PM. We are not good in distracting people from the reality. If you invade, we fire. This is the simple logic, moreover it is a natural reaction.
Cambodia has no intention or provoke any war with Thailand. We need time to rebuild the country, we have enough bad memory with war. There’s no reason for a country to make war with another country that has stronger economy of 26 times than its own. The Cambodian army spent $191 million in 2009, compared with $4.9 billion for the military in Thailand, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (source).
Thailand keeps repeating that Cambodia started to fire first. They are protecting their territory. These are the series photos of a Thai’s base that they are using to fire into Cambodia territory. Do you feel any protecting gesture? The journalist also confirmed there’s no sign of firing back from Cambodia.
And check out the result from this video, Thais’ rackets bombed on Cambodian villages and make thousands of people homeless.
They also mentioned the 3 F16 jets flying around the fighting area is on training. If you believe what they said, the world is so blind. UN is blind, USA is blind. How can you ask Cambodia to restraint when Thailand is invading their country. Asean can’t do anything. They can’t make Thailand accept the observers. But we are grateful for the efforts of the Indonesia FM.
The war still continue as long as Thailand has two colors: yellow and red. They will continue to use border issue to save their political crisis. On the other hand, their nonsense behaviors will give bad image of Thailand to the world.
I believe a lot of Cambodian people feel very upset with Thais. We are neighbors for a thousand years. It is sad to see this thing happened. I hope the world will see the reality and react in the right way to finish this war.

Khmer county shrink from about 3.3 to just 1 and still the invaders want more.
The world blind or not is not important for Cambodia.
Don't regret that The world put their blind eyes on Cambodia. We already got many lessons from the past time.

Where were they?
Previously, I blamed Hun Sen and the King. Why do the two groups put their kneel down for Vietnamese and China?
now, I know clearly.
Without Vietnamese, we will die all.
Without China, our territory will be occupied by Vietnamese forever.
Now, it is another lesson. We was born as being Khmer, we should accept being invaded by our evil neighbors, including Thailand.
We should be proud of being ourselves. We take care of ourselves.
Cambodia does not want war with neighbor, in both past history and the present, but if They want to kill us and encapsulate our territory, we must fight as you said, it is a natural reaction.
It (Thais) comes, we shoot because we already fulfill our duty of being a good legal neighbor in the community.
It is hard for a country who wants peace alone, while the other wants war.
The real Angkar between 1975-1979 or Khmer Rouge consisted of 2 differences as fellow:
1. A group of Paris students .
2. A group of Khmer Viet Minh:
Angkar between 1975-1979 as fellow:
1. Pol Pot. ( a Paris student ).
2. Nuon Chea. ( former Thai Communist Party but in a Paris student groups ).
3. Ieng Sary. ( a Paris student , Khmer Kampuche-Krom ).
4. So Phim. ( Khmer Viet Minh ).
5. Son Sen ( a Paris student , Khmer Kampuchea-Krom ).
6. Ta Mok ( Ta Mok din not study in France but he was in a Paris student group ).
Note: 1. If you have a quick look you will see a group of Paris students more than Khmer Viet Mihn but the reality was Khmer Viet Minh had more troops ( Khmer Viet Minh troops like Heng Samrin , Chea ect… . than Pol Pot troops .
3. Khieu Samphan, Sihanouk ( personally I don’t like Sihanouk ) Hu Nim , Hou Yuon they are not Angkar ( Real Angkar coul make hightest decision between 1975-1979 ) these four fellows are norminal leaders ( only in name ) even Ieng Thirith was not Ankar but her husband Ieng Sary is.
So if you look at Khmer Rouge Trial or ECCC those being detained without trial ( except Duch ) are a group of Paris students and 3 out of 5 are not Angkar 1. Khieu Samphan, 2. Ieng Thirith, 3 Duch.
So one of many reasons why this fake ECCC try to trial 2 Angkar 1. Nuon Chea 2. Ieng Sary ( 2 of Paris students groups ) and let the real killers like Khmer Viet Minh like Heng Samrin , Chea Sim and many more escape from the justice.
So cases 003 and 004 will never happen under Hun Sen regim because youn Hanoi which the former or master mind of Indochina Communist Party ( formed in 1930 ) who later formed CPP who is the real killer of nearly 2 million Khmer between 1975-1979 by borrowing Khmer Viet Mih hands like Heng Samrin, Chea Sim , So Phim who worked alongside with Pol Pot between 1975-1979 before all of these Khmer Viet Minh ran for their lives to Hanoi before 1979 to escape Pol Pot purge those Khmer Viet Minh.
Very good article. Cambodia lost so much lands in the past. Now, because Cambodia is small, weak and insignificant in the eyes of the international community, the world do not seem to care. The UN is very quiet and Asean is a useless bunch of cocktail party-goers. Because Thailand is America's baby, the U.S doesn't care about Thailand bullying and invading Cambodia. If another country, like Burma, is bullying and invading Thailand, America would have jumped up and down non-stop. This is the reality of the world. The most important thing is we have to defend ourselves, strengthening our military and economy.
This is an opportunity for Kambuja to have this kind of map again. Don't let this opportunity pass. There won't be anymore opportunity. Khmers are in high spirit to be an Empire once again. CPP can be a legend in Khmer history if this can be accomplished. Abhisit is a match that lights up Khmer's spirit to take Khmer's land back. It's great that he doesn't know what he's doing right now. Once Kabuja becomes an Empire again, it will be to late for him to realize his mistake.
Why don't Khmer Surin and the rest of Khmer people that live in Tia. Can your guys rise up and joins with Khmer fights against ah Tia to get our provinces back.
801 you are right!!!!!!! I think when Hun sen solve the thai problem he should let other Khmer to be a leader after 4 years or his last full term. Get new and fresh idea and politics that give people and property rights to assemble with law and regulations to guide us. And create a tax collection agency like the IRS in the USA did. Id all the people and properties. More.........we have a long way to achieve a strong foundation. And war and crime are a very big distraction for srok Khmer. But if Hun sen solve with thai - I want to go to war with yuon to get Koh Tral back!!!
So sads to see our old map and compare to the map we've right now. We been lost alot of land to the enemies of us. How can we get our lost land back and what should we do?
