On Saturday The Israeli Navy intercepted another ship, the 1,200-ton Rachel Corrie, which was en-route to the shores of the Gaza Strip, Reuters reported, quoting law enforcement sources.
In the Mediterranean Sea, 55 kilometers from the coast, Israeli soldiers boarded the ship.
It is not presently known whether weapons were used during the boarding. However there are no reports of casualties.
The Cambodian-flagged Rachel Corrie is named after the American pro-Palestinian activist, who in 2003, was run over by an Israeli army bulldozer in the Gaza strip, while protesting house demolitions.
It had been lagging behind the "Freedom Flotilla" , during the capture of which nine Turkish nationals died. The "Freedom Flotilla" was intercepted by the Israeli military on Monday night.

Israel ordered the ship which was in Israeli waters to change course for Ashod. However, the Israeli Navy's orders were ignored.
Israeli Army Radio warned that they will deal with the ship which is currently being escorted by three Israeli Naval vessels.
There are up to twenty people on board and 1,000 tons of cargo including: books, cement, medical equipment and toys for Palestinian children.
The Rachel Corrie fell behind the original flotilla due to mechanical problems it had been experiencing.

Israeli troops have boarded Ireland’s bulk-carrier The Rachel Corrie after the pro-Palestinian activists had rejected the demand to change course and make for the Ashdod port.
According to preliminary reports control was established of the ship which tried to break the maritime blockade of the Gaza Strip “peacefully”, with the crew and the passengers putting up no resistance, so no one was hurt during the seizure of the ship, the Interfax news agency reports.

After seizing the Gaza-bound aid boat, Israeli forces are now taking it to the Israeli port of Ashdod.
Further reports confirm there was no violence when the commandoes boarded the Cambodian-flagged Rachel Corrie.

Israeli commandoes have escorted the Rachel Corrie to the Israeli port of Ashdod. Reports say there was no violence in the incident. The Israelis say they will check the cargo and then deliver it to Gaza by road through a land crossing point.
There are 19 activists on the ship, including the Irish Nobel Peace Prize laureate Mairead Maguire.

What is the scoop with Cambodian flagged Rachel Corrie? Does it mean Cambodian gov' showing solidarity with the Palestinian cause?
Because Rachel Corrie died for the cause she believed in does not mean her death was a just cause.
Palestinian children are indoctrinated to hate Israel from their births. So much for peace loving Palestinians.
Israel would love to hire them for work, instead Israel gov' had to hired 20,000 Thai workers to do what the Palestinians could be doing to help them have jobs.
Here is the danger of aiding the destruction of Israel. For God has set a blessing and cursing for those who do ill to his beloved. Israel is God's covenant wife on earth:
Genesis 12

2And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
What does these verses mean? Israel are the children of Abraham. You curse Israel-you will be curse by God who watches over Israel. Look at the promise if you bless Israel. Israel is to be a blessing to all nations. But how can they be if the nations wants to come against her and see her punish for the "suppose" crime against the Palestinians?
It appear the nations are about to get curse by the God of Israel. Actually, they are being cursed. Look at the troubles in European Union. They all are pro-Palestinian. I'm talking as general population not those who are joined unto Israel.
America is not exempt either. Our current leadership is expediting God's judgment upon America as he is turning his nose against Israel.
As America has done to Israel so shall the God of Israel do to America. The law of reaping and sowing in effect.
11:17 AM, I don't know what side Hun Sen's goverment takes in regard to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but the registration of the "Rachel Corrie" ship has nothing to do with the Cambodian government. Many vessels and ships around the world are registered with the Cambodian Maritime Authority because it will register any ships for any owners who are willing to pay bribes. Often these ships are rundown and too old and have been refused registration by many countries. Now, there are many ships/vessels that are flying Cambodian flags but are not owned by Cambodia or Cambodians.
