Re: SRP claimed authority leased one thousand hectares of Cambodian land to Vietnamese at Bavet town

During the 1970s and 1980s, while Khmer were busy in the civil war,Thai and Vietnamese farmers had encroached deep into Khmer territory with the closing eyes of their governments.That is why we have this war with Thai and its government,who disregard the original map and try to invade Cambodia with a little excuse.
On the eastern border, the Vietnamese government ordered the puppet Cambodian CPP government to allow the border check point to be built about 2km deep inside Cambodia from 1987-1988. Ke Kimyan, a former defence top brass, reported to the central Hanoi's communist puppet committee and that report was simply buried some where and no body took that issue to discuss or investigate about it. On top of that, Hanoi was not satisfied and they managed to encroach further in hundred of kilometres along Khmer-Vietnamese border with full colaboration from Hun Sen and Var Kimhong. In some areas, according to villagers living along the border, the new border was moved between 1-2,000 metres deep inside Khmer farmlands. Since most of the border line running through rain forest and unoccupied areas, nobody knows how much land we lost to Hanoi in total. It could be hundred of kilometre square because we are not allowed to know about this anyway. This problem led to the exile of the opposition party leader Sam Rainsy and Khmer farmers who lost their land to Hanoi ended up in jail for two years. What was so unjust was that farmers who lost their farmland were supposed to have been supported and protected by the Cambodian government, but instead they were jailed by the Cambodian government for two years? Do you see Hun Sen's logic? That is Hun Sen's justice.
You can not compare orange to apple. It is a different thing between Khmer living in America who put Cambodia town sign and the land leased for Vietnamese farmers for 99 years. In the worst circumstances or in a thousand years in the future, Khmer would never and will never be able to claim that part of the land as Cambodian territory because Cambodia is thousands of miles away from America, where as the land that leased along the border is bound to have problems like we have recent war with Thai, despite the map is clear and the signatures were there.

Some of the logic twisters here would tell us that our country are growing and they also tell us that they have all the educated people working with their PM Hun Sen. So, why do we have all of these thing happening in front of their eyes?
Don't be fooled by a few tall buildings. They are not social housing built for poor people. They belong to private enterprises for 99 years.

I don't disagree with your long term logic threat. However, when you made claimed that is not specific based on speculation and you don't even know how much we truely lost of lands and your logic because it is forest so it is hard to identify how we lost our land will not hold water in the ICJ court. Your number were pretty much estimation and speculations are not reliable evidences in court. In order for Cambodia file any law suit claim against another country, you better be prepared to construct your case with bullet proof. I wonder if Sam Rainsy is prepared to do that or is it just a political scheme to boost support from Cambodia as usual tactics from politician? Historically Khmer hate Vietnam because of the Khmer Krom land and others, therefore it is easy to pick the target and Cambodian general public will bite the bate immediately like "True Khmer" not know the hidden agenda behind it. The government have taken Thailand to court when they see it is winnable efforts. I will leave it up to your imagination what could happened next when Vietnam and Cambodia negotiate it's border dispute. Sam Rainsy cannot just made up story or fabricated any map to sabatose the future of Cambodia. I am glad the French finally displayed the old map showing what Cambodia before. In regard to Khmer Krom; it is uphill battle but it is not impossible. I have met with many Khmer Krom leaders; they all love to have those land back but it is not possible at this stage of era. They are not retreating but figuring out ways for peaceful solution with N. Vietnamese government. You cannot wage war with Vietnam because Cambodia needs to build strong economy and stability. Please don't ask Cambodia to commit suicidal. Khmer Krom never been lost; it is there all the time. Khmer Krom lost it rights as original owner but only time will tell the true story what will happen. If Cambodia continue to walk the same path, we will continue to get the same result of the past leaders left for us to learned. You have to assess your weakness and your strengths before you decided on certain issues. Two things that I would like to see Cambodian doing: economic development throughout the country; human capcity building through education for the young generation starting from birth. Sometimes, you loose to win. I hope you can read between the line. I saw some comment early regarding N. Vietnam government afraid to adopt the democracy ideology into their government system. However, in the future it will probably go back to democracy but Vietnam needs to strengthen its economy and its militarily. After Vietnam War; the country faced with many destruction as Cambodia however their infrastructures remain intact including all of their educators unlike uncle Pol Pot abolished everything Cambodian had including exterminated all educators. In Vietnam, there are millions of Khmer. They are working hard to raise their families. In Thailand, there are millions of Khmer and they too working hard to raise their families. I repeat, Cambodia cannot afford civil war or internal fightings if you wanted to see better future for Cambodia. We went through 4 regime changed; the last one gave us more than 20 years stability and now people wanted to find every excuses to change the regime. Khmer, don't be fooled to follow the clueless leader who will led Khmer into destruction. You can judge me all you want but Vietnam and Thailand get the last laugh if Khmer slip into civil disorder or civil war again.

We don't need anymore criticism to those Yuon puppet, we need action and solution, now...
Great work, True Khmer. Well said and well written. Keep up the good work to help remind those leaders who have "Khmer heads with Viet brain" to defend Khmer territory.
