The Lotus Revolution and the Buddha's prophecy

Warrior Blood said...
Dear Lotus Revolutionaries:

I read your three major objectives, although you have good intention to save Cambodia but your approach will harm Cambodia more than helping. You have to assess the economic and security impact done to Cambodia if your group puts this into action. I respect and understand your pains but please take a step back and dissected your intention point by point carefully and weight the pros and cons. I am not in anyway trying to destroy your movement but I would like to caution you about the implications and human sufferings from this ordeals if it takes place. Will Cambodia dodge this bullet? You all are holding the key to it.

The Buddha's Prophecy stated "ឈាមដាបពោះដំរីនៅទន្លេមុខបួន" (the blood will reach the elephant's belly at the four-faced river) and I never wanted to see this prophecy became the reality. Only time will tell. Your claims are probably good enough for election campaign to win election in 2013. You wanted to get rid of PM Hun Sen. Can you get ride of PM Hun Sen? That is the big question mark.

Let's say you couldn't, what back up plans do you have? Are you prepared to sacrifice thousands or millions of Cambodian lives? Since you want to have election after your movement took place, why don't you work on using these objectives as your campaign strategies for 2013 election? Why goes through Lotus revolution and have people killed? I know you don't like what I am telling you now, but it is the reality and fact and the Vietnamese and Chinese are part of our culture and society from the beginning. This is the reality, Chinese and Vietnamese were born in Cambodia and they are Cambodian citizens like you and m. Period! They have every rights like you and me. They are the business engines of Cambodia.

Don't get me wrong, there are smart Cambodian businessmen like Oknha Kith Meng, Mong Reththy and others too, but the majority of Cambodia's businessmen are are Chinese and Vietnamese. These Khmer millionaires were former refugees but they found their ways to do business in Cambodia and became millionaires. I don't despise them because they are rich, we need more of them to drive Cambodia's economy. They created jobs and push our country forward to compete with the rest of the world. We do have broken immigration system which I agree with you 100 percent.

We needed strict immigration reform policies and enforcement. This is a very serious problem in Cambodia. Vietnamese who are living here for a number of years with proof of address etc should be able take test to become Khmer citizens and must pay tax and contribute to Cambodia tax revenue like others. Cambodia need to strengthen immigration police along Vietnam/Cambodia border. Vietnamese living in Cambodia must respect Cambodia's law.

For those of you who live outside of Cambodia, just think of yourself what would happened if the country you currently live in suddenly turns against you just because of your ethnicity. Imagine how you feel if your family worked all of their lives to save up and bought a house to raise your family and now you were told to move out and go back home to Cambodia because you don't belong here. This is why I am asking people to think of different ways to resolve this immigration issue without a bloodbath. We all wanted to live in peace. There has to be a better solution than the Lotus revolution. Just look at those countries that experienced a people power revolution. Where are they now after the revolution? Some don't have a government yet. We must find ways to control immigration issues without going through the Lotus revolution.

Warrior Blood is a moron. He only have suggestions but no answers. LOL....I don't know if this guys ever see Cambodia currently but you'll notice that 90% of the country is poor. Business are there to take advantage of the poor because of the wacko government. I know you will go on and say at least some people have jobs despite working like a sweat laborer. Just like the mass faintings in one of the sweat shop. You talk about a few guys that are millionaire helping out the poor? Really? Have they? I've read many of your blogs already and this by far is the worst.
