Appeal by one of our anonymous readers:

"Please momentarily let us set aside the hard feeling, the animosity among all of us towards each others and start concentrating on providing helps to the needed families, children and elderly people all over 3/4 of our country. This is the time that could bring us closer to compete in a positive and honorable way for the sake of our nation's survival.
Let's do it for the poor, the hardest hit by this misfortune. Do not miss this opportunity my dear compatriots."

Note from LoveKhmer:
I have this thought in my head for many years...there are many Khmer people living abroad, countries like US, Canada, France, Australia, and so forth. The sum of all Khmer people population living abroad perhaps more than a million. If someone know how to tab into this population resource this can be effective and powerful. Think about it, Khmer abroad have almost unlimited resources from their surrogate countries. Financially, if they were to donate a dollars each, that is approximately a $1 million (that can be used to help flood victim). A million voices to the UN, a million signatures for petition, or million people on Washintong monument lawn. Very powerful, isn't it??....

Khmerization please help me pass on this thought of mine to the fellow Khmers.

Thank you,

LoveKhmer

From School of Vice:
I think this is an excellent idea and one which will make a world of difference to our struggling nation! The Jews have been able to pool their resources from their own diaspora for many years, and used such resources to finance and strengthen their communities abroad as well as the state of Israel. It may require an organisation or Khmer associations though to start the ball rolling.
A 'Federal Reserve Fund' should be set up with an account into which Khmer people inside Cambodia and abroad will be able to donate their financial contributions in whatever amount they are able to contribute voluntarily. Even a cent counts towards something!
However, the crucial thing - I feel - is to take 'politics' out of the equation, if that be possible! The second thing is to have complete transparency as regards financial control, spending, agendas etc. Before all this could materialise, however, issues of unity and leadership among Khmers at home and overseas must be addressed.

Ah coward Decho Hun Sen, Mr Sam Rainsy asks you to sue him at France court about you murdered Khmer people. Why don't you dare to do it as you have done at Cambodia court?

Being a strong man as well as Prime Minister of one country, you should not be coward to face the real justice at France court or International court. Unless, you are the real murderer in Cambodia that is the reason why you fear of Mr Sam Rainsy at real and fair justice court.

Decho Hun Sen rubbed Cambodian people well being, health care, dignity and sell Cambodia out to Vietnam in cheap price as long as he can stay in power. Isn't true Samdach Decho Hun Sen?

How many Cambodian people lives have you killed in your life so far? Can you being honest telling the true?

As one Prime Minister of one country his job is bully his own people from talking about Paris Peace agreement 1991 and Vietnam take Cambodia area. Why?

Samdach Decho Hun Sen Why does you so scare of the truth? Why do you so scare of Mr Sam Rainsy when he asks you to sue him at France court? You are strong man as you claim in TV screen.

Samdach Decho Hun Sen shouldn't scare of Mr Sam Rainsy because Mr Sam Rainsy has no weapon mass destruction as you do. You are the murderer; you must be strong in facing with Mr Sam Rainsy at France court as Mr Sam Rainsy invited you to do so.

Samdach Decho billion dollars Hun Sen, PLease face Mr Sam Rainsy as Mr Sam Rainsy invited you through the world media. You used to win on Mr Sam Rainsy many times in Cambodia court of justice. There is no reason why you should be worry about...if you have never killed anyone in Cambodia. Isn’t it Decho Sen?

Cambodian people hope to see Samdach Decho Hun Sen will has gut as a leader or a man to sue Mr Sam Rainsy at France court as Mr Sam Rainsy invited Samdach decho many times through Radio and world media.

Be a man Decho Sen! One in your life be a man Decho Sen! Be a man to face Mr Sam Rainsy at France court and international court.

We are personal bodyguards of Samdach Decho would like to see Decho Hun Sen be a man with Mr Sam Rainsy at France Court. Otherwise, Samdach Decho is not worthy to protect because why do we have to die for protecting a traitor, a murderer, a blood sucker. Isn’t it true Samdach Decho Hun Sen? Do you agree with that?

Donating is not a problem. the problem where it is going. many of them don't like auditing. many of them are fraud. above all there are more rich uneducated people in cambodia why don't they donate. people abroad couldn't even get a job at dukin donuts.

I think many Khmer have thought of it many years but unable to move it anywhere because we don't trust each other and we tend to put each other down; however if a white guy organize us; it probably works. This is just how it is. Sorry to tell the truth.

How after Peace Accord signed in Paris in early '90 an individual can stay in power for that long or cannot be defeated in an election? Is the Accord it-self defected in design or the UN which supervised the application didn’t do the work properly? It should be the responsibility of all Khmers and all of the signatory countries if this situation continues to prevail! What is going on with people of Cambodia that allows this to happen?
How is the strength of the oppositions to the regime today? Are they unable to organize? Are they too weak because they do not have a charismatic leader or one that good enough to lead a unified front? That can also be explained by the fragmentation of the oppositions going from self-centered interest parties to those too extreme or too radical for the majority of Cambodians.
After three decades of wars, the country may not be ready for another one.
The memories of war are too fresh for many of us! Even recently there were many cases of families with lost and reunification under miracle circumstances. The Khmer Rouge court has yet to render justice and finger pointing to the main culprits of those responsible for the deaths of about two millions people, results of that war years.
One particular lesson learned from this darkest period of our history is that each time at start a group of Khmer dissidents decided that a war was necessary to reach some ideal objective according to the group’s ideology: The Khmer Rouges during the ’60 decided that they needed a revolution to build their ideal country which ought to be a communist one. Many of them have even started their struggle a lot earlier while they were students in France. In early 1970 general Lon Nol with the help from the US has joined hand with Son Ngoc Thanh movement to topple then Prince Sihanouk because they decided that war was needed to get rid of the monarchy and to establish a republic, pro-Americans and the West in general and against the communist Viet-Congs. Now it seems that some of Khmers have decided and actively promoted a new war to get rid of .their “Kaddafi”! They are really urged for that because it seems that they really think that it is fully justifiable, regardless the fact that the wounds from the last thirty years wars are not healed yet. Regardless, they are ready to start another chapter of our history book, another chapter of uncertainties, unrests, sufferings, destructions, starvations, deaths or frighten life in refuge camps… Who know if that could be the last chapter of the book when we all know that vultures are waiting there to eat the carcass if that were to end up in ruin?

Some of you here should stop blaming for this and that. You should pay more respect to the Love Khmer and the suffered Khmer people.

1:21 thank you for your feed back. My vision is to have Khmer organization abroad and united. Let's put the fear factor aside and focus on the power of unity.

We are often said Cambodia politicians are very corrupted, perhaps due to fear and oppressed. Khmer living abroad on the other hand, are free from fear and oppressed correct? Let's take this opportunity to shine and take the lead for Khmer living with fear and oppressed.

What do you have to loose a $1?

Somdach Decho Hun Sen has over 60 billions of American dollars that money from stealing from Cambodian people for too long...if he smart he will used all that money to help Cambodian people now before it too late like Gaddafi...die with no cloth...and money can't save him at the end...Do you agree Hun Sen?

Why used a lot of time to blame Hun Sen and other, but did nothing to help the innocent Khmer.
How come, Mr. Hun Sen steals something from the Khmer people. Are the Khmer people very rich or very wealthy?
Some of us, who really love our country and did a lot to help our Khmer people, but they never said this or that, because they have not much time to blame other.

4:43 PM, Hun Sen stole from Khmer people, that's why we are poor and he and his cohorts are so rich. Just ask yourself this: Where did Hun Sen, Sok An, Cham Prasidh get their money from to make them millionaires and billionaires? They stole from the government's budget, cut the forests, receive corrupt money from foreign investors, from illegal mining and so on. These monies should have gone into the government's coffers so we don't need to borrow billions of dollars from China.

Please stop degrading each other, let's share and discuss ideas despite we have a few disagreements. If you have time read a book title: the magic of dialogue by Daniel Yankelvich. This will broaden your dialogue skills.
