Life of a shoes-shiner

This boy said he had to stop study and became a shoes-shiner after 7NG company evicted his family from Dey Krohorm slum area. He said his mother can't afford to send him to school because, after eviction, he has moved to live far away from his school and has no money to travel to school plus also his mother became too poor after she lost her trade/selling business because of the eviction. He has to become a shoes-shiner to help his mother earn a living. He said he earns about 20,000 riels ($5) per day, but sometimes 10,000 riels ($2.50) or even 8,000 riels ($2) , but after paying travel fare he was left with around 2,000-3,000 riels (50-70 cents).
