Change is the only way to save Cambodia from disappearing

Re: HUN SEN TO MEET SAME FATE AS GADDAFI'S

"A nation without freedom is a nation in a big prison"- True Khmer

I know that many Vietnamese intellectuals want to have a regime change, but they kept quiet because they see that their communist system is working hard for their country and especially they see that Hanoi are so successfully in suppressing Khmer Krom and also expanding their territory along Khmer-Vietnamese border. They also realize that if Vietnam is a democratic country it will lead to problems with Khmer Krom who will be fighting for freedom/independence from Vietnam and that is no good for their struggle to become a democracy.

Cambodia is a different scenario, as you know most of the CPP leaders are Hanoi's puppets. As a result, you have now seen Cambodia are plunging into a country that behave like a family where parents do not care for the rest of their family members. And not just not being the caring parents, but they have also sold their farmland and left their under-age children behind to go about and work abroad as slaves, some were killed, burnt alive, some were raped and tortured and so on.

One important issue is that Cambodia has no restriction on Vietnamese immigrants who want obtain Cambodian citizenship after they have come to settle in Cambodia. Cambodia is a small nation and in size too, so if this Vietnamese migration does not stop in 10-15 years, Cambodia will be simply becoming another state of Hanoi, since most of the Vietnamese in Cambodia are having full rights to vote.

Change is the only way to save Cambodia from disappearing, if there is no change we probably will lose our country forever.

Do you know that Angkor Wat is run by a Vietnamese businessman named Sok Kong? What could be more insulting to us all as Khmer than that?

Can you be happy and sleep well knowing that Cambodian land and territory have been encroached by Hanoi and you are not allowed to say anything?

You have to be a zombie to live under Hun Sen's leadership.

What is wrong to be free?

A nation without freedom is a nation in a big prison.

Yes u right, I agree with your idear. All dictators are not bad but the dictator for only personal and family developing will lead the country to catastrophe. Of course, in Cambodia the drastic reform must be conducted to maintain the stable developemnet and secure people livelihood. Education with right way, is the good weapon for changing. Cambodia is not like Middle East world, poeple is not dare to die like Islam. The hardlanding reform might be not achievable. The opposition is not strong enough to replace the current ruling party but the strong and majority seat in parliament is neccessary.

How much do you know Sok Kong when you made such comment about the man? My understand is he was born in Cambodia. Did you know he employs many Cambodian workers? Did you know that he also has scholarship to help Cambodian employees get better education and move up the corporate ladder? What do you have to offer for Cambodian beside opening your big mouth infront of the computer? It is sad to hear all the rhetoric you offer which is full of airs to the public; it is a bunch of lip services and load of crabs like your leader Sam Rainsy. You have no idea what this man done for Cambodian citizens. Like many other millionairs in Cambodia; they employed many Cambodian, creating jobs, try to help Cambodian yet they are not good enough to be Cambodian. What make you better Cambodian then others? You are out of touch from reality like your leader Sam Rainsy or what is true hard work and job creation is about. While the government bring investor into the country to help create more jobs, your leaders go around scaring investors, tell them to cut of aid, threatening to have revolution. PM Hun Sen should round all of them up because they are terrorist group. I think anybody that threaten the stability of Cambodia is considered as terrorist group. Freedom come with boundary, freedom has it limited. Cambodia cannot operate in a vaccum; we have to work with other races in order for us to be stronged economically.

Terrorist is such a harsh word to use. I would use it if I were you. I understand oppositions want change, but they can’t not offer a better solution any problem in the country than remove PM Hun Sen. I can’t see how opposition parties able run the county. In reality, they can’t even put their acts together. They have no clear vision.

True Khmer, the name fit you like a glove. doing nothing but complaint. get a life man. Sok Kong employs thousands of Khmer yet he is not true khmer like you. you making me laugh. Why when Cambodian citizens became sucessful, suddently he either has Vietnamese or Chinese blood? I don't care if he is from Mars, if the man create jobs for Cambodian offer opportunity for Cambodian; he is Cambodian in my book. He is much better than those bum Cambodian who go around lying thinking they are so educated and better than others. They are just a bunch of scum or parasite using scare tactics for personal gain.

Sok Kong is doing business like "tveu num ot m'sao" (making a cake without flour)- a Cambodian phrase meaning getting things for free. Most of Sok Kong's businesses are tveu num ot m'sao- like collecting fees from Angkor Wat, Bokor resort, his private beach in Sihanoukville, land for building his Sokha hotel chains. He got these things for almost free, except just pay bribes to the officials. Even his Sokimex group are importing petrol by paying very minimal tax.
This kind of group of autocratic oligarchs or kleptocrats like the Hun Sen clan must be thrown out of power. The longer they stay in power, the more they will cause damages to the country through their corruption and plundering of the country's resources for personal benefits.
