Hmmmm...I wonder what those Cambodia generals who have too many stars on their shoulder, and some of them dont even know how to read, react when they see and talk to her. West Point is the Highest Honor in the world when it comes to Military. You can tell by just look at the way she dress...and when you look at those khmer generals, oh my goodness ! Defense minister Tea Banh, looks like he just get out from driving ah Tuk Tuk or something..

ចៅស្រី Miech Sithika!

Congratulation for your greatest achievement as the first Khmer woman graduate of West Point. You will be among the future leaders of our country that the younger generation will look upon for more inpirations. As an old generation who live abroad I am so pleased to see our brave young Khmer face like you once in a great while. You are my hope and I no need to stress more on that. As you settle more in your professional career I can see a few more enhancing traits which you will adopt. For instance less shyness (you are so cute with that now though!) and definitely your speech pattern of Khmer language. You will intelligently as always, use formal Khmer vocabularies and pronounce them in an authoritative standard way like former Prince Sihanouk used to deliver his speech in the 1960!.

I just want to ask you guy a question. What is the main point to study in West Point?
To get a degree in Military, then what? Protect Hun Sen?
Why don't you guy use your brain to study engineering and medical or agricultural field?

WE NEED SCIENTISTS, WE DON'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT IN TOEFL...COME ON.

In the US, studying and participating in military is for someone who are unable to further their education (mostly only. Not all people join military because they are not smart).

I hope I could see any Cambodian who can get PhD. in Medical or even Mechanical/Electrical/Civil engineering and they are willing to go to Cambodia and help to develop Cambodia...Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again, No social science, No military, no economy or business, no library science...Please!!!!!

In the US and China, people study to develop their science and technologies and make their country become the superpowers, while in Cambodia people study to be a leader of others and inherit the corruption policy.

If you believe in democracy and western ideology you are not going to be promoted. The truth is that Tea Banh is not Khmer and Hun's politics is autocratic. He scares of you and anyone outside his circle that could overthrow him in the future.

If there is a democracy in our country I am sure that your qualification are highly respected and you will be responsible for very important job in defending our country.

I am sure that you are not just the graduated officer that was trained hard in combating, but you are also the important ambassador of modern laws and concept of humanity behind war and conflict to Cambodia.

Please serve righteousness and justice as your main leader not Hun and his corrupted gangsters.

Not clear! Is she a Virak senei Tor( sak 4 konlass) or Anouk senei tor(sak pi) both rankings did not match her greatest achievement. She deserves more than that.In cambodia it's not too difficult to find sak 2 or sak 4 1/2 on the street. A local uneducated can get sak 2 and sak 4 1/2 very easely. Meach sithika should be well placed to a high ranking officer to be a role model of an oustanding
accomplishment. Congratulation meach sithika!

Congratulations to Cadet Meach Sithika for her amazing accomplishments in graduating from West Point. However, I just wanted to recognize my sister, Cadet Vanara Soeung, West Point class of 2004, who is also Cambodian. I'm very proud of these ladies and how they've represented the Cambodian community. Thank you!

Chhaya Soeung

1:43 PM, In this case your sister, Vanara Soeung, was the first Khmer woman to graduate from West Point, not Miss Miech Sithika. However, congratulation to both of them for their brilliant accomplishment.

Yup, I've also that Vanara Soeung was very active in sport, basketball that is. In this league it requires hight, and she got that. The above article made me laugh when first read it in 2011.
