A high-ranking officials from the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP) has warned of a people's power and uprising against the opposition parties for calling for the indictment of leaders of the current government.

During a videoconference with about 100 supporters, the exiled opposition leader, Mr. Sam rainsy, has called for the indictments of the current government leaders, including Prime Minister Hun Sen, Senate President Chea Sim, National Assembly Chairman Heng Samrin and other CPP leaders whom he accused of involving in the Khmer Rouge crimes in the 1970s.

However, Mr. Nguon Nhel (pictured), First Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly from the ruling CPP, rebuked what he called Mr. Sam Rainsy's "baseless" allegations and said that the current CPP leaders were the liberators who had liberated the people's from the Khmer Rouge genocide in 1979. He has warned of mass protests against the oppositions. "You want to sue the ones who liberated the people? The people will launch demonstrations against you", he said.

Mr. Nguon Nhel added that the three Samdechs (knights) were the ones, not Mr. Sam Rainsy, who had ordered the trials of the ex-Khmer Rouge leaders. On top of this, they were considered to be Cambodian national heroes, as was evidenced by the election victory of 2008 where the CPP won 90 out of 123 parliamentary seats, he said.

Many of the current leaders are ex-Khmer Rouge senior officials , like Chea Sim, Hun Sen and Heng Samrin were ex-Khmer Rouge military commanders. Hor Namhong was chief of Boeng Trobek Detention Centre, Finance Minister Keat Chhon was Pol Pot's advisor, Defence Minister Tea Banh was also one of the Khmer Rouge military commanders.

According to the Washington Post, Heng Samrin's and Hun Sen's troops had thrown grenades into a hospital and slit the throats of critically ill patients when they overrun a hospital in Kampong Cham in 1973. "When overrunning two hospitals, Heng Samrin's and Hun Sen's troops threw hand grenades and later slit the throats of critically ill patients", said the Washington Post.

Elizabeth Becker, a journalist who wrote an excellent book on Cambodian civil war "When the War was Over", also made similar claims in the International Herald Tribune: "Several soldiers and residents told the photographer that some of the rebels threw hand grenades and plastic explosives into still-occupied homes and cut the throats of the critically wounded at the city hospital", she wrote.

This new evidences should warrant an investigation against Heng Samrin and Hun Sen. Throwing grenades into a hospital room and slitting the throats of patients are serious crimes.

Most Cambodian that involve in politic as politicians in Cambodia because they are try to get better position in government and plus better chance of corruption to gain millions of US dollars. That is the only one purpose of most politicians in Cambodia.

They don't care about The Cambodian people, The Khmer Nation as much as they care about their luxurious cars, big modern villas, millions $US deposited in the banks, Sex with teenagers.

If they just put their mind to build Cambodia. The Cambodia will be like Singapore right now or even better Country and Nation.

Innocent Cambodian people die to serve politic but the politicians are the only group get happiness at the end. Is it true through Cambodia history?

Examples:

Prince Norodom Ranariddh and Funcinpec Party, from 1979 to 1993, how many Khmer lives were dying or lost their limbs because of they believe in Dr. Prince Norodom Ranariddh and his Funcinpec Party. They were carry guns, bombs to fight with Vietnam. They don’t even have salary or proper foods. They were fighting because they believe they would have better chance to have better future as they promised them during they were using them as tool to gain power in serve their politic goal.

As they won the election 1993, Funcinpec Party and the party leaders slowly forget them and their suffering in severing Ranariddh and Funcinpec politics goal and purposes. They (disable veterans of war) lived like animals bag people for money on the street but the majority of top Funcinpec Party are living in Luxury lifestyle practice their European lifestyle and their Royal lifestyle. The disable veterans that were serve them before can’t even meet them ask for their charity because they simply have forgotten and order their bodyguard push them away like animals.

1997 Thousand of Khmer lives again were dying for serving Ranariddh and Funcinpec Party leaders but they have been simply forgotten by Dr. Ranariddh and Funcinpec Party again and again. They were dying for the sake of serving politic lead by the politicians as mention above.

So the question is “Are you Khmer people willing to die for they can be rich and famous and you be forgotten?”

Yes, true all the CPP leaders were temple boys (Hun Sen), cattle thieves (Heng Samrin) and bandits (Chea Sim). They were the most lowly-educated people, even when compared to the Khmer Rouge top leaders. They killed many people like the old Khmer Rouge when they themselves were the Khmer Rouge in the 1970s.
