Thailand increases troops and Thai soldiers banned from visiting their comrades at Wat Keo Sekha Kirisvarak pagoda

A Cambodian commander based at the Preah Vihear frontlines said the Thai military is still reinforcing extra troops to the border areas despite relative calm along the border areas, reports Koh Santepheap.

He said the Thai military deployed hundreds of troops stretching from Mom Bei (the Emerald Triangle areas) in Choam Ksan district in Preah Vihear province all the ways to Preah Prolay commune of Tropeang Prasat district in Oddar Meanchey province.

At the same time, Cambodian commanders at the Preah Vihear frontlines had banned Thai troops from visiting the 10 Thai troops who are allowed to stay at Wat Keo Sekha Kirisvarak pagoda since Thai troops invaded the areas on 15th July 2008. In the past, Thai troops have come to visit the 10 Thai troops freely without asking permission from the Cambodian commanders.

From now on, Thai troops will not be allowed to visit their comrades at the temple without permission because it is not necessary as the 10 Thai troops have been rotating their turns and they always return back to Thai territories at night time.

I heard and read many times about banning Thai troops from Wat Keo Sekha Kirisavak pagoda, but they are still based at the temple. When will they be kicked out?
