By Khmerization

Cambodian villagers in Mondulkiri province had on 13th January detained 5 Vietnamese for illegally logging inside Cambodian territory but they were ordered released by Cambodian authority, reports Deum Ampil.

Mrs. Khan Channy, one of the villagers, said after they detained the 5 Vietnamese, they had immediately informed the Cambodian authority and the human rights groupd Adhoc.

However, soon after, 4 to 5 soldiers who claimed to be from Border Guard Unit 8 came and ordered them to release the 5 Vietnamese and threatened to kill the Cambodian villagers who detained the 5 Vietnamese illegal loggers.

Klan Sin, another villagers, appealed to the Cambodian authority to intervene in the case and take measures to protect Cambodian natural resources.

Mr. Chhay Thy, Adhoc investigator in Mondulkiri, said this is an unusual case which require authority at the national level to investigate. However, Mr. Im Sophan, prosecutor of the Mondulkiri Provincial Court, said he had travelled to the area and didn't see anything happening like what was claimed by the villagers.

The Cambodian government under Hun Sen is a traitorous government allowing the Viet to destroy Khmer forests and threatening to kill Khmers who detain them and protect Khmer forests.

Thai soldiers have been killing Khmer loggers almost every week for doing the same thing as the Viets doing to our Khmer forests.
