Army neutral in upcoming election [How can the army be netural while its military leaders are members of the ruling CPP and are actively campaigning for the CPP in this election?]

Give our kids a better deal
PHNOM PENH, 4th July 2013 (The Cambodia Herald) -- Deputy Prime Minister, Tea Banh, said Wednesday that the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces(RCAF) is neutral for the upcoming general election, but military personnel will still cast their ballots for the party they like.

"The RCAF statute clearly states that this body is neutral, not biased towards any political party," he told reporters. "But for individuals, they have the same right as common citizens to vote for the party they like."

The minister has urged armed forces to strengthen security and public order during the election campaign period and on the election day in order to ensure a free, fair and peaceful election.

Eight parties are competing in the 2013 election, they are the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) of Prime Minister Hun Sen, Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) led by exiled Sam Rainsy,  the Funcinpec Party led by Princess Norodom Arun Rasmey, the League for Democracy Party led by Khem Veasna, the Cambodian Nationality party led by Seng Sokheng, the Democratic Republic Party led by Sokroth Sovan Panhchakseila, Khmer Anti-Poverty led by Daran Kravanh, and Khmer Economic Development Party led by Huon Reach Chamroeun.

9.6 million people are registered to vote in the July 28 election. More than half of them are young people whose ages are between 18 to 35 years.

Most videos regarding RCAF. You will see soldiers & commanders praising Somdach Decho Hun Sen & his wife first lady. Our military neutral ONLY in words. Words are cheap. Hun Sen beefed up only RCAF divisions which under either his son Major General Hun Manith or his cronies Generals.

Our military are very busy put up a shows at Siam-Khmer border areas but not one division was at Youn-Khmer border areas. Youn had a free for all at our eastern border areas where Khmer villager are sparsely populated. In some case Youn kicked Khmer villagers from their ancestors's land, our mighty RCAF usually disappeared when Youn did these wrong things. In many Viet- Khmer border videos you WILL NEVER RCAF soldiers carried any AK-47, only Youn thieves soldiers are armed. RCAF scared of Youn master. RCAF only braved against Siam for a shows. I wish we truly have a legitimate qualify RCAF commanders who are truly care ONLY PROTECTING ALL OUR BORDERS.
