Although being of French origin, Mr. Ponchaud detailed what happened during those few weeks in fluent Cambodian, including America's illegal bombing of Cambodian territory which he had witnessed first hand.
Mr. Ponchaud regarded the bombings as the cruelest action a person can do and took the lives of too many people.
He added that the Nixon administration and Secretary of State Henry Kissinger were those who committed the actions for no reason, and also called for a trial against Henry Kissinger, who is still alive.
Phnom Penh on April 17, 1975 had turned silent after the Khmer Rouge troops evacuated people from their homes, he said, They had lied to the people and told them they would return back to their homes after two or three days.
"Friends we have to leave Phnom Penh to avoid American bombs. We will return back home after two or three days going as far as 20 to 30 kilometers away. Friends don’t have to lock the doors because the organization are not a bunch of thieves," Khmer Rouge was quoted as saying.
Mr. Ponchaud said, everyone, rich or poor, were very scared.

I agree with you 100% Sir,Nixon is in Hell now but Henry kissinger is still alive and he was responsibled for the bombardment of Cambodia without congress approval.Let bring this murderer to tribunal's court.
