Khmerization's Note: Why did Hun Sen cry? The reasons could be that Hun Sen was hammered by President Obama and world leaders because of his appalling human rights records. It could be because of the pressures he received from China for Cambodia to take China's side on the South China Sea issue or to keep the South China Sea issue off the agenda.
Hun Sen said he cried because he regretted that the late King Sihanouk did not live to see the summit's accomplishments. This is complete nonsense because when Sihanouk was alive, Hun Sen was very wary and afraid of Sihanouk's popularity and influences among the Cambodian people and on the world stage. Is this another of Hun Sen's crocodile tears?

Hun Sen was likely to have faced a grilling from reporters over his attempts during the summit to halt discussions of territorial disputes involving China, a key Cambodian ally. China has insisted that the disputes be resolved bilaterally, not in a group context.
Hun Sen indicated he was overcome by pride and exhaustion for having hosted the annual meetings of the 10-nation Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which were also attended by eight world leaders including President Barack Obama and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.
The famously tough, canny and usually loquacious leader recited a list of the summit’s accomplishments, big and small, at a final news conference. He added with moistened eyes that he regretted that Cambodia’s late King Norodom Sihanouk, who died Oct. 15 at age 89, had been unable to see his country on the international stage.
“I am sorry that I couldn’t hold back my tears,” the one-time guerrilla leader then told the crowd of journalists. He expressed apologies for being too tired to answer any questions.
ASEAN summit hosts typically hold final news conferences at which they answer a wide range of questions about the meetings.

I think so. He pretended to feel sorry for Sihanouk but Hun Sen always cursed Sihanouk when he was alive. I think he cried because he got too much pressures from world leaders, especially Obama, on human rights abuses in Cambodia or maybe he was not happy with China's pressures on the South China Sea issue also.
In my opinion, this summit, like the summit in July, has failed miserably because of the South China Sea issue.

Remember HUN SEN was born from Remote Area with poor family and Uneducated, he used to serve with a very low Rank Khmer Rough, he has been serving and working as Vietnamese slave, his trick and act like Vietnamese styles, he cries to bag the Cambodian people to vote for him, if not he will kill them, he cried because he wanted to show off that he had done better than Sey Hanuk, but only a blin and deft people can believe for Cambodian people no one has believed him, he has lead the country nearly 30 years and Cambodia has lot of land to Vietnamese Thai, sea, forestry, natural resource and has owed alot of Money from China, and Work Bank, ADB ect, Please do not believe Hun Sen he acted to show people like he is a good man, actually he is not, he had killed alot of Cambodians, Please Read the Brad Adamn Human Right Record on Wall Street Journal.
For me, the cold tear from the one-eye dictator is nothing but a show.
He hopes that when he died, he would have many people cry for him as many people did to King Sihanouk.
Now, he tried to connect Sihanouk to him so that he can clean his hands from being called as National betrayal or let Cambodian people know that he can do better for the nation as King Sihanouk did.

Mr. John Key should not take side with the Vietnamese puppet Hun Sen because this dumb Cambodian dictator is so stubborn to step down or should not think to be a Prime Minister.
Mr. Jonh Key does not know what is behind the scene. Hun Sen has made a huge mistakes when when he want to be a Prime Minister of Cambodia forever as a Vietnamese puppet.

Obama's visit was not historic to Cambodia because it brought nothing new to CAMBODIA.
Why Obama only spent 24 hours in Our Country? Why he spent more time
in Thailand and Myanmar,meeting with the King, the Chief of State,the Prime minister, the Opposition leader?
Why people in these were allowed to line the streets and welcome Obama. Why Burmese student were
allowed to meet Obama at the University?
I PPenh many streets were emptied and people were oredered to stay away from Obama.

Hun sen cried because he was very angry with obama but couldn't do any harm to obama.
It's a cry of helplessness and powerless.
