PHNOM PENH (Cambodia Herald) - About 200 land
protestors gathered Monday in front of National Assembly to call for a
halt to evictions, a source said.
The source said the
protestors, wearing black shirts and holding lotuses, later marched to
the Royal Palace to present a petition to King Norodom Sihamoni.
The
petition called for the release of Beehive Radio station owner Mam
Sonando, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison last week for attempted
secession.
