The Cambodian government has called for
restraint from its people in the wake of an incident in which a Channel 3
reporter stood over photos of Norodom Sihanouk, the deceased former
king of Cambodia.
The Cambodian Prime Minister's Office said in a statement released
yesterday that all Cambodian people should avoid ill-intentioned
attempts by some political groups to use the case to stir instability in
the country and rifts with neighbouring countries.
A picture of Thapanee Eadsrichai standing over photos of the late royal drew criticism from both Cambodians and Thais.
The Cambodian government warned that some groups are circulating the
photo to mobilise public support to damage relations between the Thai
and Cambodian people.
The journalist and her Channel 3 bosses quickly apologised for the
incident. Ms Thapanee said she had no intention of showing disrespect to
Sihanouk.

Thapanee and the people of Cambodia in generals.

Responding to first commentator of 1:53AM. Competent person can usually distinguish between each circumstances for when to say or do something and when not to, you have made such a debilitated remarks to our Prime Minister at a time when everyone of us should be stronger and solidify among our people, a time that everyone of us should be grieving for the loss of our country guidance head figure. I hope that you have some ability to think and I hope that you are Khmer, and most of our parents raised us to have decency, morality, and compassion toward others, and especially among your fellow citizen.
I am sure that most Thia people were raised by their parents to be respectful, good moral, and to be compassionate to others as well.
Unfortunately, not all children turn out the way their parents wanted to be, a good example just like Ms. Thapanee Eadsrichai, a Thia reporter for channel 3 in Thailand.
We[Khmer] should NOT have bad influences by Ms. Thapanee Eadsrichai. We maybe a little impoverish nation and our people are a little more indigent than Ms. Thapanee Eadsrichai for now, but we have more morality, decency, and compassion than her. And we[Khmer] should not have anymore discussion about Ms. Thapanee Eadsrichai, and by the way she looks very repulsive individual.
She [ Thapanee] look so repulsive, unattractive, arrogance, illiterate and I have to repuke her behavior as news media who suppose to educated but she is worse than jungle people whom doesn't have any morality or respect the dead,in this case the dead happen to be the king of Cambodia. My advise to her is don't be so arrogance lady, you're no body.
She did not even take off her shoe while ask for apologising, she is intended to do it or forgot to take her shoe off
