An anonymous reader sent the following information:
The online distribution of the fake
letter alleging that opposition leader Sam Rainsy would cancel the
merger of the SRP and the HRP could be attributed to Kong Chanveasna.
As of June 2012, Kong Chanveasna was listed as Director of
International Relations, Office of the Council of Ministers. Prior to
his current appointment, Kong Chanveasna was listed as an aid to Sok
An’s office.
I am also wondering if the
Council of Ministers and its Press and Quick Reaction Unit are not
responsible the following three letters also:
- Announcement of the death of Chea Sim,
- A fake letter from Hun Sen, and
- A fake letter sent by Heng Samrin to Hun Sen.
The fake letter about Sam Rainsy shows
that the SRP-HRP merger must have a profound impact on the ruling
party’s psyche. The other three pieces of fake information and letters
were issued in order to blame the opposition parties and provide a soft
landing to Hun Sen following negative reactions to his 5+ hours speech
on the border issue.
We have to remember that Hun Sen’s regime still functions as a communist regime that it was in the past.
Sincerely,
ចក្ខុទិព្វ
